Document Description
In June 1998, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued SCE a new license for Kern 3 that required a sediment monitoring program taht evaluated the oeprational sediment management practices. In 202, the McNally Wildfire burnt 150,670 acres of the upper watershed of North Fork Kern River and subsequent storms generated large volumes of sediment that adversely impacted the operation of Fairview Dam by blocking the intake gates and reducing the impoundment capacity.
