Document Description
A temporary emergency Hazardous Waste Treatment Permit has been granted to the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake (China Lake) to treat by detonation one military rocket. The item appears to be a 2.75 inch rocket, which may contain up to five pounds of explosive. The rocket was found in a remote are of Death Valley National Park (Death Valley). Because the hazardous waste is a military item, the emergency permit has been requested by China Lake, and the China Lake Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) personnel will carry out treatment of the item.
