Document Description
The Project provides for the purchase of water from willing sellers primarily upstream of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta), conveyance of the water using State Water Project (SWP) or federal Central Valley Project (CVP) facilities, and transfer of the water to suppliers south and west of the Delta that are experiencing water shortages due to drought conditions. The Project enables the Santa Clara Valley Water District (District) to gain access to additional imported water from DWR during the 2009 water year.
