Document Description
The proposed diversion system will be installed in Del Monte Blvd to a depth approximately 20 feet below grade surface (bgs). The treatment structure (also known as the BMP Structure) will be attached to an existing storm drain line and will discharge to a proposed force main. The force main will travel along Del Monte Blvd for approximately 200 feet. The force main will be installed to a maximum depth of 7 ft. bgs. It will connect to an existing sewer line. Along the route will be the flow meter manhole. This will be installed to a maximum depth of 9 ft. bgs.

The proposed project will reduce environmental impacts by allowing the City to reduce dry weather runoff to the ocean. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, Article 19, Section 15301(b), a project is exempt from CEQA if the work consists of the operation or minor alteration to the existing facilities of publicly-owned utilities used to provide electric power, natural gas, sewerage, or other public utility services (Authority cited: Section 21083, Public resources Code; Reference Sections 21084 and 21084.2, Public Resources Code).
