Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) proposes to annex 77 North Gate area parcels, totaling ~161 acres, into its service area. The North Gate Specific Plan was established in 1991, and covers an area south of Ygnacio Valley Road, north of Mount Diablo State Park, and east of the City of Walnut Creek. All the land within the annexation area is located in unincorporated Contra Costa County. Annexation will allow for the following associated secondary and indirect activities: sanitary sewer extensions into residential neighborhoods, abandonment of private septic sewer systems, and the connection of existing and future residences to the public sewer system.
