The Applicant proposes to construct a reinforced concrete crib wall ~28 horizontal ft above the bank of Trout Gulch Creek. Approximately 2,500 cy of material will be excavated at the site. Other construction activities proposed to repair the damage include constructing a retaining wall, adding new asphalt pavement to the roadway, installing a new metal beam guard rail, replacing a 24 inch culvert and revegetating the emabankment. The Applicant has received federal funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to conduct the work. The project property is located on Trout Gulch Road, Post mile 1.41, in Aptos, Santa Cruz County.
