Document Description
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department developed a Significant Natural Resource Areas Management Plan to guide the management activities of the Natural Areas Program. The Natural Areas Program was created to protect and manage Natural Areas (fragments of unique plant and animal habitats) for the natural and human values they provide. The plan contains detailed information on the biology, geology, and trails within 31 Natural Areas, 30 of which are in San Francisco and one (Sharp Park) is in Pacifica. The plan is intended to guide natural resource protection, habitat restoration, trail and access improvements, other capital projects, and maintenance activities over the next 20 years. The proposed project is implementation of the plan.
