Document Description
The proposed project would consist of a 230-megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) facility on 2,100 acres. Major project components include PV panel arrays, an electrical substation, and a 20,000 sf Operations and Maintenance building with associated parking. The project also includes a 230-kilovolt (kV) transmission line for interconnecting the electrical output of the Project to the regional transmission system. The proposed transmission line is approximately 3.5 miles long, and will interconnect to Southern California Edison's (SCE) planned Whirlwind Substation north of the Project site in southern Kern County. An alternate 1.5-mile long transmission line would interconnect the project to SCE's existing 230 kV Antelope-Magunden transmission line east of the site.
