- Excavate and dispose of soil around the former oil wells to inspect the wellheads and remove the source of crude oil and solvents; - Place an oxygen release compound (ORC) in the bottom of the excavation prior to backfill to facilitate the biodegradation of vinyl chloride and 1,2-dichloroethene (1,2-DCE) in groundwater; and - Backfill area of excavation with clean fill material - Remove and dispose of the top two feet of soil across the site in preparation for redevelopment activities; and - Place two-feet of clean fill material across the site. NOTE: Future development as a public park will be evaluated as a separate project.
