The Project consists of removal of contaminated soil, limited treatment of addtional soild and groundwater in place, and replacement of the removal soil with clean fill at the ~2.9 acre Avalon Triangle Park Property. Phase 1 - Excavate and dispose of ~2200 cy of soil in the vicinity of the former oil production wells to inspect the wellheads and remove the source of crude oil and solvents; Place an oxygen release compound in the bottom of the excavation prior to backfill to facilitate the biodegradation of TPH, BTEX, vinyl chloride and 1,2-dichloroethene (1,2-DCE) in groundwater; and Backfill area of excavation with ~2420 cy of clean fill material. Phase 2 - Remove and dispose of the top two feet of soil across the site-partially contaminated with TPH, BTEX, VOCs, heavy metals, and arsenic-approx. 9400 cy, and Place 2 ft of clean fill material across the site in preparation for future development, ~10,340 cy.
