The project would extend an imported, municipal water supply to the Original Sycuan Reservation for the first time. The Project is necessary and desirable to ensure that a consistent and reliable supply of imported potable water is available to the Original Reservation. The project would expand the Otay Water District service area to include the Original Reservation and would result in Otay water District being able to make available a supply of imported, municipal water to the Original Reservation.
