Document Description
Improvements must be made to 4 privately-owned diversion pumps in order for the pumps to be able to deliver water across the new flood control improvements. The Natomas Levee Improvements Program Landside Improvements Project is being implemented by SAFCA to increase flood control (reduce the potential for catastrophic flooding) in the Natomas Basin. Part of the project is to improve the existing levee. This adjacent levee would be constructed higher than the existing levee to meet the federal standard for levee height.
