Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2010-0009-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA).
The proposed project would involve improvements to the existing pump. In order to accommodate existing flow rates over the raised levee profile of the NCC south levee (the levee was raised and a seepage cutoff wall was installed in the levee as part of Phase 2 of the Landside Improvements Project) the existing pump motor and pump column (including the impeller) would need to be upgraded. The pump would be removed from the support structure and transported to a factory to perform the upgrades. Removal of the pump would be facilitated by a crane staged on the access road. The existing support structure is also in need of repair. The existing structure would be proposed to be dismantled and a new structure (including a new platform) would be constructed.
