This permit 19637-1, authorizes installation of fifty-nine (59) new utility poles, removal of one existing pole, replace-in-place of 11 poles, installation of thirty-two (32) down guy wires, two (2) open box concrete boxes, ten (10) new pull boxes, one (1) pre-cast concrete pad, and twelve hundred and ninety-four (1294) linear feet of trench for underground conduits within the flood control easement along the Sacramento River East Levee. Out of the fifty-nine (59) new poles, five (5) poles will be permanently placed on waterside levee slope and two (2) poles will be placed on the landside levee slope of the Garden Highway. The remaining fifty-two (52) poles will be temporarily placed along the of the Garden Highway waterside levee slope. Out of the eleven (11) replace-in-place poles, nine (9) will be permanently placed on both landside and waterside of the Garden Highway levee slopes. The remaining two (2) poles will be temporarily placed along the Garden Highway on both landside and waterside levee slopes. The underground conduits will be permanently placed on the waterside slope of the levee. After the US Army Corps of Engineer’s Natomas Basin, Reach A, construction is completed, the fifty-two (52) new poles will be permanently relocated five feet from the edge of pavement on landside of the Garden Highway levee. This utility relocation project is required for the Natomas Basin Civil Works Project. This permit supersedes Board permit 19637 EO, issued to SMUD on 4/20/2022.
