- The California Department of Public Health (Department) is a responsible agency for this project. The Department's Safe Drinking Water Proposition 50 Program is providing state funds for the project. North Marin Water District proposes to restore the existing standby Gallagher well and construct a 12-inch pipeline to connect with the NMWD's existing sources to lower the overall salinity levels and be an alternate source of supply to improve reliability.
