Yuba Community College District Sutter Facility

YCCD proposed to construct a new community college campus. Measure J was approved by voters in Yuba and Sutter Counties in November 2006 and will fund the construction of the proposed project. Following approval of Measure J bond funding, YCCD initiated a search for a site near Yuba City to serve as the Sutter County community college campus and solicited proposals from property owners. Twelve proposals were received, and of those, two sites were selected as potentially suitable. In January 2008, EDAW prepared a constraints analysis that compared the relative complexity of the environmental regulatory processes for the development of each site. The constraints analysis concluded that the proposed project site discussed in this IS/MND is the superior site because it presents fewer environmental constraints.
