Document Description
The project, as described in the original ITP, includes the replacement of the existing 91 Howden wind turbines with up to nineteen 2.3-megawatt turbines. Project construction, as described in the ITP, including turbine decommissioning and installation of new facilities has not been initiated. This ITP Amendment 1 makes changes to the ITP to specify those project activities associated with the decommissioning of above-ground turbine and Operations and Maintenance building facilities that are likely to result in minimal ground disturbance, clarifies the monitoring and reporting requirements that are not required for the limited decommissioning, and specifies the amount of compensatory mitigation required to be met for the limited decommissioning. The project in the ITP Amendment 1 is not likely to result in incidental take of San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes macrotis mutica) with the addition of take avoidance measures, but may result in take of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense). Both species are listed as threatened under CESA. The ITP Amendment 1 referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of California tiger salamander that may occur as a result of project implementation.
