Document Description
The Applicant proposes to re-grade 110 ft of the right bank to a 2:1 slope and create a new floodplain adjacent to the channel and place ~9 log and boulder structures to enhance instream habitat. The proposed project is comprised of 9 sites along a 700 ft reach of Grape Creek. Sites 6, 7, and 8 are located in vicinity of the two locations where the stream bank will be sloped back at a 2:1 slope. Included as a floodplain feature at Site 8, the stream bank layback at this location will have a 3 ft wide inset floodplain. The stream bank layback at Sites 6 and 7 will not include an inset floodplain. For Sites 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 9, the applicant proposes to install various boulder structures that are designed to provide cover and rearing habitat for steelhead and coho salmon.
