Document Description
the Ventura County Watershed Protection District proposes to construct four bendway weirs and approximately 1,288 linear feet of rock rip-rap slop protection to prevent further erosion of the southern bank of the Santa Clara River downstream of Highway 101 near Oxnard. The project also proposes augmentinf ~350 linear ft of existing rock riprap bank protection located downstream of the proposed weirs. By protecting the adjacent decommissioned landfill (located below the River Ridge Golf Course). Native southern riparian scrub habitat would be restored between, upstream, and downstream of the proposed weirs.
