The Housing Element sets forth housing goals and policies for Port Hueneme, including: (1) Maintain and Enhance the Quality of Residential Neighborhoods in Port Hueneme; (2) Encourage the Adequate Provision of Housing by Location, Type of Unit and Price to Meet the Existing and Future Needs of Port Hueneme Residents; (3) Provide Increased Opportunities for Home Ownership; and (4) Remove Governmental Constraints on Housing Development. It also identifies several non-residential properties with potential for residential development.
