Document Description
Arsenic Remediation of City Well No. 15B through well-head treatment using the Coagulation Filtration (CF) process. CF is an environmentally friendly treatment approach that removes arsenic chloride, sodium hypochlorite, and hydrochloric chemical injection. The resultant ferric hydroxide/arsenate precipitant particles coagulate and are captured in the filter media. A polymer is added to the precipitate to densify the material. The resultant sludge is estimated at 42 gallons per acre foot of water treated and can be disposed of in a local landfill. (An acre-foot equals 325,829 gallons of water).
