Document Description
St. Margaret's Episcopal School's existing campus currently includes classroom buildings, athletic fields, playgrounds, courtyards, and several parking areas. These uses have been developed over a period of about two decades and are permitted by various planning entitlements and legislative application approved by the City over the years, including the zoning of the Ortega Planned Community's Comprehensive Development Plan. The School now proposes to formalize its long-term plans for these existing and future uses in a Campus Master Plan. The proposed Master Plan includes the renovation of several existing structures and construction of new buildings on commercially-designated land within the Ortega Village Center commercial area and outside the current campus boundaries and a non-contiguous parcel presently occupied by the Ortega Equestrian Center. The Master Plan will result in a net increase of roughly 70,000 square feet of building floor area. However, the school does not propose to increase student enrollment or activities over current conditions.
