Document Description
The project involves an increase in the annual tax increment limit, which is currently set at $1,000,000. It also would extend the effective date of the Redevelopment Plan, which is currently 1985 to 2025. The proposed project also includes the creation of programs to eliminate economic and physical blight, establish fair market home values, decrease building vacancy, improve human health and safety, fund infrastructure improvements, and provide economic incentives that will stimulate economic revitalization of the project area. In addition, revenue from the tax increment limit increase will be used to service existing debt incurred by the Redevelopment Agency.
