Document Description
The Project consists of a yearly herbicide treatment cycle. Foliar applications of herbicides are initiated in the fall. After foliar application, biomass reduction (hand cutting of non-native vegetation) may occur in the winter, particularly where stands are thick and large. Sites will be re-treated in the spring and again in the fall. Re-vegetation of native plants will occur in the winter to spring months. Maintenance activities occur spring through fall. The purpose of invasive plant species removal is to reduce fire and flood risk, save water, improve water quality, and enhance habitat in the watersheds of southern Orange County.
