- The proposed Redevelopment Plan was conceived as an implementation tool to advance the goals of the Specific Plan. The public outreach process focusing on the Redevelopment Plan began October 23, 2010 and is ongoing. The goals of the Redevelopment Plan include implementing the goals of the Specific plan, expanding the employment base, eliminating prevalent blighting conditions, providing additional affordable housing, preserving and rehabilitating existing single family neighborhoods, and advancing sustainable neighborhoods through brownfield cleanup, green building techniques, utilities, and green infrastructure improvements.
