Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of two culverts (Crossing 1 and Crossing 2, respectively) as part of the development of approximately 81.62 acres, consisting of dense mixed oak woodlands and scattered areas of grassland, into a residential subdivision with 23 homes and three open space areas. At Crossing 1, 20 cubic yards of material will be excavated from the stream bottom and a 95-foot-long, 24-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert pipe will be placed into the stream bed. Approximately 156 cubic yards of aggregate base compaction bedding will be backfilled onto the culvert and compacted in order to secure it into place.
At Crossing 2, 30 cubic yards of material will be excavated and a 125-foot-long, 30-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert pipe will be placed into the stream bed. Approximately 345 cubic yards of aggregate base compaction bedding will be backfilled onto the culvert and compacted in order to secure it into place.
Each culvert will be installed with 24-inch flared end sections with trash racks to both ends of each culvert, and 10x10-foot areas of rock slope protection will be placed at the culvert inlets and outlets
