Document Description
The proposed project represents an overall strategy by the CTVCP for the control of the BLH statewide where the infection of susceptible crops and backyard gardens is likely. Control is performed within rangeland habitat on both public and private lands and along ditch banks, roadsides and fallow fields in cultivation adjacent to rangeland. Control generally consists of the application of the insecticide malathion either aerially or from ground-rigs, although biological control methods (parasites) are used in some locations.
