Major grading would be limited to the construction of the access road, private driveways and building pads and require ~16,400 cubic yards of fill and 10,000 cubic yards of cut. The proposed project woul require the removal of 32 trees, including twelve oaks identified as "protected trees" according to the City of Petaluma's Tree Preservation Ordinance. The applicant proposes to replace those protected trees to be removed at a one-to-one tree diameter ratio using both Coast Live Oaks and Valley Oaks.
