The City of Coachella General Plan Comprehensive Update 2035 entails a re-writing of text and maps of the various State-mandated elements of the General Plan including Land Use, Circulation, Safety, Noise, Open Space, and Conservation elements, and the preparation of a Climate Action Plan which sets up an inventory and reduction strategy for greenhouse gas emissions. The General Plan Update replaces the City of Coachella's 1998 General Plan and will provide long-term planning guidance for the City's growing population and projected development over the next 20 years.
