Document Description
A temporary stream crossing will be constructed using high strength rails cars which will span the Calaveras River, outside of the ordinary high water mark (OHWM). Gabions will be filled with cobble and placed at the edge of the OHWM. Ramps on both ends of the crossing will be constructed of clean river gravel. The crossing will be anchored with cables/chains at one end, to protect the crossing during catastrophic flood events.
