Document Description
The proposed Project will, in conjunction with the bridge deck repair, install permanent scaffolding and ladders inside the bridge arches to provide maintenance personnel and inspectors a reliable means of working inside the bridge. Access to the work area on the underside of the bridge will involve using a crane and lowering the construction equipment over the side of the birdge onto a 20 ft by 44 ft work space on the bank of the Stanislaus River which will need to be cleared of vegetation. All of the work will be conducted during daylight hours when the Stanislaus River is dry.
