Document Description
The Summer Creek HOA Invasive Plant Removal Project consists of the removal of Mexican fan palms, tamarisk, pampas grass and trimming of eucalyptus trees located within an unnamed tributary to Lake Hodges. The purpose of the project is twofold: 1) removal of invasive plant species allowing the passive restoration of native vegetation; and 2) reduction of fire load. Project Activity includes the following: a) The task will be accomplished using hand tools, chainsaws, mechanical vegetation cutters and shredders and herbicide administered by a contractor; b) No motorized vehicles or heavy equipment will be used within the streambed; c) The staging area ill be located outside of the streambed alon the roadside.
