Document Description
The County of Santa Cruz is proposing to construct ~4.2 miles of sewer lines to replace 3,000 ft of sewer line on the beach between the end of Las Olas Drive and New Brighton State Beach, Santa Cruz County. The project will consist of open-trenching, jack and bore and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Phase I includes installing a new 20 inch Force Main, 18 inch Force Main, new pump stations at the Tannery Gulch and Potbelly Beach facilities on New Brighton Road, and 2 new pump stations and 20 inch force mains at New Brighton Beach State Park. Phase 2 of the project will include installing new force mains and a 3 inch electrical conduit beneath Aptos Creek using HDD and a new pump station and improvements to an exising pump station. Phase 3 will include installation of new pumps and upgrades at the Rio Esplanade Pump Station.
