Document Description
The Coastside County Water District (CCWD) proposes to dredge ~800 cy of sediment the first year of operations and then 400 cy on an annual basis for the subsequent 4 yrs around 2 intakes located on Denniston Reservoir. Denniston Reservoir is a 31 acre ft reservoir located on Denniston Creek in San Mateo County, CA. The reservoir will be dewatered for the dredging operations and will be conducted through the drain in the pump station wet well. The discharge will flow directly to the creek at the outlet structure of the small spillway and stop logs will be removed st both spillway structures. A siphon through a 6" flex hose will be used in front of the small spillway structure which will discharge the water into the spillway structure and into Denniston Creek. The dredging will be done with an excavator with a 50 ft reach located ont he dam itself. Spoils will be trucked to a nearby disposal site 1/2 mile away from the project area. Excavation is expected to be conducted annually is September or October preceded by hand removal of vegetation.
