The project also includes construction of a double circuit 69-kV transmission line, which would follow the same route as the proposed 115 kV transmission line for the first 0.8 miles from the proposed substation location. A second 69-kV transmission line would extend approximately 0.5 miles north of the proposed substation to the Almond Power Plant. The proposed route runs adjacent to numerous residences and agricultural land.
