Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2008-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Lake Oroville Area Public Utility District represented by Alan Brown.
Installation of a sewer line with potentially 5 crossings of a seasonal, ephermal creek. The crossing are planned for areas with significant human or livestock disturbance in order to minimize disturbance of riparian vegetation. Approximately 350 sq. ft. of area (combined for all 5 proposed crossings) will be subject to excavation, placement of the sewer line and subsequent backfilling and compaction. One crossing may require installation of temporary coffer dam to allow any water present to be re-routed around the trenching operation. This will either be accomplished by use of a gravity flow pipe from the coffer dam or by means of a submerged pump to direct any water downstream through a hose. Work is planned for times where there is zero flow in the creek and no reports of potential rainfall events.
