Document Description
The following outlines the proposed project:
- Increase the maximum height of Phase 1 and Phase 2 from 545 feet above mean sea level (aMSL) to a height of 565 feet aMSL;
- Increase the permitted maximum daily tonnage from 400 tons per day (tpd) to 600 tpd;
- Increase the permitted maximum daily traffic volume from 200 vehicles per day (vpd) to 250 vpd.
- Increase in the Landfill design capacity for Phase I from 2,633,000 cubic yards (cy) to 3,337,957 cy (an increase of 704,975 cy), and an increase in Phase 2 Landfill design capacity from 2,464,000 cy to 3,022,998 cy (an increase of 558,998 cy);
- Increase the maximum excavation depth for Phase 2 to 392 feet aMSL form 421 feet (an increase in depth of 29 feet);
- Increase in the estimated closure year of Phase 1 from 2006 to May 2013, and an estimated closure year of Phase 2 from 2023 to 2040.
- Evaluate, design, and construct a Gas to Energy component of the Landfill to be located in an area of approximately 600 square feet.
