Document Description
Aron Faegre (Applicant) is proposing to renovate an existing bridge spanning the San Lorenzo River at Camp Campbell to comply with American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) design criteria, requested by the Boulder Creek Fire District as a fire safety issue. The bridge is located on the main entrance of Camp Campbell and provides the primary access to the camp. The Applicant is proposing to add two supplemental steel beams. To further strengthen the bridge the existing wooden deck planks would be replaced. The Project would also consist of widening the bridge to create an accessible path along side the driving lane that meets standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The existing abutments and approach roads would not be modified, and no new concrete or paving work is planned. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2009-0107-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Aron Faegre and Associates.
