Document Description
This proposed Project involves the development of approximately 20.13 acres of undeveloped land into a 41-lot residential subdivision, including roads, utilities, a storm drain system including an approximately 0.26-acre stormwater detention basin, and approximately 5.74 acres of Open Space. Project activities include collecting seed from on-site Layne’s ragwort plants, grubbing and grading of approximately 13.16 acres of the Project site, excavation of approximately 0.64 acre of ditches, installation of approximately 0.16 acre of rock slope protection, installation of storm drainpipes and utility lines, road construction, construction of residences, and other activities. The Project will permanently remove 13.95 acres of Layne’s ragwort (Packera layneae) habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of Layne’s ragwort, which is designated as a rare species under the Native Plant Protection Act (NPPA). The ITP referenced above authorizes incidental take of species listed under NPPA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
