Document Description
The Applicant is proposing to construct one desilting basin with an approximate capacity of 14.5 acre ft, two detention basins with a combined capacity of ~75 ac-ft, and an ~50 ft wide natural bottom channel/low-flow bypass channel. Wildwood Creek, two unneamed tributaries, and the adjacent upland areas will be excavated, and rip-rap, soil cement, and concrete box culverts will be installed in order to construct the proposed basins and low-flow bypass channel. In addition, access roads composed of native materials will be constructed to allow entry into the basins for maintenance purposes. A public rest area, parking lot, and interpretive kiosk will be constructed between the northern extent of the basins and the south side of Wildwood Canyon Road. Public trails composed of native materials will be also constructed along the perimeter of the basins. The desilting basin, detentions low-flow bypass channel, access roads, rest area, parking lot, and trails will be subject to long-term maintenance.
