Document Description
Assessor's Parcel Numbers 333-370-010 (rabbitry) 333-390-033, 333-400-001 and 002 (vegetable production). A Special Use Permit to establish a commercial rabbit farm for meat production, on an 8.36 acre site and 49.45 acres (5 small parcels) of vegetable production, totaling 57.8 acres. At full built out, the project will include 9,200 rabbits to be housed in rabbit barns - 40 barns are proposed with 50 cages per barn, approximately 4 rabbits per cage; 1 office; 10-15 employees at full production; 2 vertical food storage tanks; vermiculture (worm) composting operation; and vegetable production. Rabbits will be shipped live from the site. No onsite slaughter proposed. Deceased rabbits will be picked up by a rendering service. Manure will be removed from the barns monthly and composted in the vermiculture section.
