The Plan Santa Barbara General Plan Update is a set of Draft Policy amendments to provide the basis and directives for updating the City General Plan in phases. These initial General Plan update documents include the overall General Plan Framework and Policy Updates, Land Use Element and Map Update, Housing Element Update, and an Adaptive Management component. The draft policies pertain to growth management, sustainability and living within our resources, circulation, historic resources, and community design, housing, environmental resource protection, public services and safety.
