Document Description
In June 1998, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued SCE a new license that requried the implementation of a sediment monitoring program and sediment management plan. SCE issued the Revised Sediment Management Plan for Kern 1 for the removal of accumulated sediment behind Democrat in 2005 that identified sediment management procedures for operational sluicing, full pond drain, and peak flow bypass. The Revised Sediment Management Plan was developed with data from previous studies of the reach downstream of Democrat.
