Project objectives include the development of approximately 50 acres of defensible fuel zones within the Wildcard urban interface area within the El Dorado community in the vicinity of Crystal Boulevard near Logtown to provide mutual fire prevention for communities and valuable watershed resources. The desired final outcome will be approximately spaced timber with a noticeable absence of ladder fuels though the use of mastication and handwork of understory vegetation, and limbing, pruning, and removal of small trees.
