Document Description
The project as approved by the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) consists of a Major Amendment to the California Endangered Species Act (CESA) Incidentatal Take Permit (ITP) originally issued by DFG to Terra-Gen Power, LLC for the Alta Oak Mojave Wind Project in May 2010. The ITP as orignally issued authorizes take of Bakersfield cactus (puntia basilaris var. treleasei) and desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizil), species desiganted as endangered and threatened, respectively, under CESA. The Amendment as approved extends the authorized take coverage to the California Highwind Energy Projects (CHiPs) Infill, which includes land adjacent to and partially surrounded by the Project.
