Document Description
The Project as approved by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) consists of a Minor Amendment to the California Endangered Species Act (CESA) Incidental Take Permit (ITP) referenced above as originally issued by CDFW to Alta Oak VI, LLC & Alta Oak VII, LLC (Permittees) for the Alta Oak Creek Mojave Project Infill in April 2011. The ITP as originally issued authorized issued authorized take of Bakersfield cactus (Opuntia basilaris var, treleasei) and desert tortoise (Gospherus agassizii), species designated as endangered and threatened, respectively, under CESA. The Amendment as approved expands the pool of potential endowment fund holders available to the Permittees. There is no change to the Project description. CDFW issued the original ITP and approved the Amendment as a responsible agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) relying on an environmental impact report and addendum prepared for the Project, as amended, prepared certified, and approved by the lead agency, County of Kern.
