Document Description
The proposed Project would annually install and remove a prefabricated creek crossing structure to accommodate vehicular passage at the site during periods when the San Benito Water District releases water for perolation operations. The structure would be similar to a Bailey bridge in that it would measure ~14 ft wide and 60 ft long and would be constructed of prefabricated metal segments designed to fit the contour of the streambed that exists at the time of installation. The deck would be constructed to be ~3 ft above the streambed surface, leaving ~2 ft of clearance for flow. While a John Deer 510B backhoe or similar equipment would be used ti install and remove the structure itself, no grading, excavating, or otherwise installed at the site. No vegetation would be removed or trimmed to accommodate the structure. The struture would be installed no earlier than Aril 15 and removed OT 31. Upon disassembly, the structure pieces would be stored on an upper terrace out of the existing flow channel.
