Document Description
Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended (NEPA), and the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended (CEQA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), and the City of Los Angeles intend to prepare a Feasibility Study/Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (FS/EIR/EIR) to examine alternatives and address the potential environmental benefits and consequences from implementing ecosystem restoration measures for the Los Angeles River. This report will function as a site specific FS/EIS/EIR for the Los Angeles River Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study. The Corps will serve as the Lead Agency under NEPA, and the City of Los Angeles will be the Lead Agency under CEQA.
