Document Description
The project consists of road repair, bank stabilization, creek improvements, and future maintenance activities. The road repair and stabilization will consist of several components, which are described in detail in the attached Project Description. Future maintenance activities are provided in the attached Culvert and Vegetation Maintenance Plan.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is a maintenance project which includes bank stabilization, sediment buildup removal from the culvert, and vegetation trimming to pre-established limits during the non-breeding season for birds. Creation of a turnabout area and vegetation maintenance are required for public safety by Los Angeles County Fire Authority for purposes of emergency vehicle access.
