Document Description
Remove approximately 2,500 cubic yards of sediment that was deposited during a September flash flood in a channel at the Lower Dock at Pichacho State Recreation Area. The sediments will be removed using a long-reach excavator and hauled to an area within the park that will not allow them to be redeposited during any future flood event. The area of sediment removal is a channel averaging 50 feet wide and is approximately 120 feet long. It will be returned to an average depth of eight feet from the current average depth of one foot. The silted-in channel currently prevents State Park Rangers from having a patrol boat at the ready to respond to emergency situations.
